This company was established as a subsidiary of Isthmus Bureau of Shipping (IBS) to meet special requirements of the local maritime market for adjustments, surveys and arbitration.

The growing market demands for services highly specialized and trustworthy in the area of settlements and inspection in general, motivated IBS Cargo & Quality, S.A., in 1997 to form a group of independent inspectors highly specialized, qualified and experienced to satisfy the needs of the local and international trade Markets, offering marine and cargo surveys for insurance loss adjusting, pre-shipment inspections, inspections and certification services in general.

With great satisfaction we can state that our company is properly authorized to comply with the requirements established by law 59 of July 29th, 1996. The authorization was given by Executive Order No. 12 of April 17th, 1998 from the Superintendence of Insurance and Reinsurance through Resolution 574 of December 8th, 1998.

We are independent of all industrial firms and dynamically uphold a “no conflict of interest” situation.
